Mrs. Barnes' Bright Bunch

My name is Mrs. Becca Barnes and I am very excited to be a part of the fifth grade team at BES! 

I was born in a small town in West Tennessee. My family moved often and I changed schools several times. I liked being the new kid! I am an only child. My high school was in Nashville, TN. After high school, I attended college at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. I taught Kindergarten for a year and First Grade for a year at Apison Elementary. Then, I got married and moved to Georgia (Go DAWGS!) I attended the University of Georgia where I got my masters in Reading. I taught Third Grade seven years in Georgia. We moved to Soddy Daisy and I taught 8 years of Third Grade and one year of Fourth Grade. 24-25 school year will be my third year in 5th grade at BES.

I am married to a wonderful man, Coach Justin Barnes. He is the Offensive Coordinator at Riverdale High School (Go Warriors!) I have two amazing daughters, Brenna (14) and Brinkley (11). We love to travel and try new things.
